Maeve Hocking
MENTAL HEALTH OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Maeve Hocking is an AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and Psychological Science from LaTrobe University. With 11 years of experience in public health inpatient and case management settings, Maeve brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice.
Maeve is passionate about sensory modulation and youth mental health, with a special interest in working with people experiencing first episode psychosis. She employs a range of therapeutic approaches, including sensory modulation techniques, occupational formulation, and cognitive behavioural strategies, tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Maeve's professional demeanour is defined by her compassion and humour, creating a supportive and engaging environment for her clients. She believes in collaboration, meeting people where they are, and building strong therapeutic connections with her clients.
Maeve also recognises the important role of family and carers in supporting clients to achieve their goals, and she actively involves them in the therapeutic process whenever possible.
Outside of her professional life, Maeve enjoys singing in a choir and staying active through netball and tennis.
