Occupational therapy aims to support health and wellbeing through enabling people to participate in meaningful activity.

Occupational Therapists help people to develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living, such as working, socialising or managing your household tasks. We work alongside people to reduce any barriers by either modifying how an activity is carried out (such as teaching you skills or adjusting the task) or changing the environment (such as using aids and equipment, reducing noise/light, decluttering spaces, etc).

Your Occupational Therapy Journey

Assessment

In other words- we want to get to know you! We will chat about what you do day to day, what’s important to you, and what kind of life you want to live.

Assessments can be conducted via video or phone call.

Implementation

This is where we put the plans into action! During implementation, we will support you to set goals and take action towards your desired life and overcome any barriers that might be in the way. We give you the tools, and teach you how to use them.

This can be completed through one-on-one sessions or our online courses. Our OT team will recommend the best approach for you.

Review & Discharge

We will assess your progress at regular intervals and make adjustments as required. We will also provide you with reports whenever they are needed.

Once you’ve addressed all of your functional goals, we will support you to make plans around how you can maintain your progress in the long term.
