MENTAL HEALTH OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Sarah is an AHPRA-registered occupational therapist with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, alongside a Graduate Diploma in Young People's Mental Health. With over 18 years of experience, Sarah has dedicated her career to supporting individuals with complex mental health conditions, including a particular passion for working with personality disorders, adolescents and young adults.

Sarah’s therapeutic style is characterised by respect, honesty, and compassion. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change, and she takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach to empower her clients throughout their recovery journey. Her therapy sessions are guided by the belief that when individuals engage in activities they enjoy, their health and well-being significantly improve.

Drawing on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mentalisation-based therapy, sensory modulation, and emotional self-regulation strategies, Sarah tailors her interventions to each client's unique needs. Her expertise spans across public adult mental health settings, including community care units, case management, and emergency department services through the ALERT program, providing coordinated care for clients with complex psychosocial and medical needs. Additionally, she has experience as an OT driving assessor in private practice.

Sarah is a proud member of Occupational Therapy Australia and the Golden Key International Honour Society, reflecting her dedication to professional excellence.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active through fitness and beach outings, and values the opportunity to travel and explore new cultures.
